The 44th edition of Festival du nouveau cinéma, in Montreal, in Canada, starts today and runs until the 18th October.
In this year's programme, Portuguese cinema is strongly represented. Amongst the films presented, Here in Lisbon, directed by Denis Côté, Dominga Sotomayor, Gabriel Abrantes, and Marie Losier will have its North American premiere in a Special Screening presented by Denis Côté, on the 11th and 17th October.
The short film Driving Lesson, directed by André Santos and Marco Leão, is part of the International Competition and will have in Montreal its international premiere, on the 12th and 15th October. The directors will be presenting their film in the second screening.
As they say "More than anything, the Festival du nouveau cinéma is about a spirit, the spirit of good company, revelry and fun." The selection of these two films reflects beautifully the spirit of FNC to whom we wish the best of success! [07/10/2015]
