Lisbon Screenings 2021 [23/08/2021]

Lisbon Screenings are an activity organized by Portugal Film – Portuguese Film Agency, part of the IndieLisboa - International Film Festival's Industry. These private sessions are aimed at the international industry with a selection of new Portuguese short and feature films which are attended by programmers and artistic directors of festivals, sales agents, international and local distributors and other professionals, having registered in 2020 the presence of more than 100 professionals. This year, they take place from the 25th to the 27th of August.

This gives visibility to the most recent Portuguese cinema yet to be released and promotes contacts between national directors and producers and professionals in the international film industry. Portugal Film had present 22 international festivals/prominent industry entities such as: Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival e Berlinale - Forum (Germany), International Film Festival Rotterdam - IFFR (Netherlands), Hong Kong International Film Festival (China), Jeonju International Film Festival (South Korea), Semaine de La Critique e Quinzaine des Réalisateurs do Festival de Cannes (France), Locarno Film Festival (Switzerland), Visions du Réel (Switzerland), Eye Filmmuseum (Netherlands), International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (Germany), Punto de Vista - International Documentary Film Festival of Navarra (Spain), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival (Spain), Tenerife Shorts (Spain), FILMADRID – Festival internacional de cine (Spain), Valladolid International Film Festival (Spain), Cartagena International Film Festival- FICCI (Colombia), Chicago International Film Festival (USA), New York Film Festival (USA), Film Society Lincoln Center (USA), Sundance Film Festival (USA) e FID Marseille (France).

In 2021, as in the previous year, they will be carried out online. Some of the films presented at the Screenings acquired their world and international premieres.
