Here in Lisbon - Episodes of a City and October is Over selected for Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival [28/09/2015]

The international premiere of the film Here in Lisbon - Episodes of a city, directed by Denis Côté, Dominga Sotomayor, Gabriel Abrantes and Marie Losier, and produced by IndieLisboa, will happen at Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival, which runs from the 1st to 14th of October. This is the first time the film will be screened outside Portugal and it is a pleasure that it will happen in Rio de Janeiro, Lisbon's twin city. Included in the Panorama section, the film is one of 25 candidates for the Félix award, which distinguishes the films dedicated to the gay scene, queer identity and gender diversity.
Representing the film will be the Chilean actress, Francisca Castillo, the protagonist from the segment Los Barcos, directed by Dominga Sotomayor.

Also selected for the festival, included in the section Première Brasil: New Trends short films is the short film October is Over, by Karen Akerman and Miguel Seabra Lopes. After being screened in Portugal at IndieLisboa - International Independent Festival and in the cities of Tiradentes and São Paulo in Brazil the directors will be presenting the film for the first time in their home town [28/09/2015]
