Catarina de Sousa

Catarina de Sousa (b.1985, Portugal) is a filmmaker, journalist and producer. Her filmmaking practice arises out of her experience in activist journalism between Brazil, USA and Portugal. She seeks to use film as a means of building community within a current of political cinema. As filmmaker she co-directed “Tracing Utopia” (2021) with Nick Tyson by UnionDocs, “Truth and Consequence” (2017) about Post Truth era for portuguese public television.
